FEAL was visited by representatives of the Karlovac University of Applied Sciences as part of an official visit to the West Herzegovina Canton, aimed at promoting study programmes in local secondary schools.
On this occasion, the dean of the Karlovac University of Applied Sciences, Ivan Štedul, and the director of FEAL, Ante Musa, signed a cooperation agreement. This confirmed the connection between the educational and industrial sectors, as well as the mutual readiness to strengthen partnership relations.
During the meeting, the work of vocational studies from the STEM fields – mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and safety and security – which directly train personnel for the needs of modern industry, was presented. Current labour market needs and the key skills of future engineers were discussed, alongside an exchange of experiences and an emphasis on the practical application of knowledge.
Representatives of the Polytechnic visited the company's production facilities, where they learned about the technological processes and organisation of production.
The connection between FEAL and Karlovac has been particularly highlighted, where the company opened a new factory in 2025, further strengthening its presence in the Croatian market. The investment in the new factory contributes to the economic development of Karlovac, creates new jobs, and stimulates industrial development in the wider regional context.
This collaboration has been recognised as an important step in connecting education and industry, particularly in the area of vocational training and workforce development for the needs of modern manufacturing.
