The FEAL company hosted representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering of the University of Mostar, led by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Davorka Šaravanja, and they discussed the continuation of the successful cooperation so far and new projects aimed at strengthening relations between the academic community and the private sector.
A meeting was held at the premises of the FEAL company Široki Bijeg between FEAL representatives, led by director Ante Musa, and representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, led by the Dean, Associate Professor Davorka Šaravanja, PhD.
The meeting discussed the future plans of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, where University representatives emphasized the desire to increasingly encourage cooperation between employers and educational institutions in order to improve students' skills and knowledge.
"FEAL already has good cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, with whom we are working on the Lean implementation project, conducting student internships, and a scholarship program for the best students," emphasized Musa.
"Students need to work on various professional and research projects. I am convinced that the students benefit the most from the internship, and the cooperation itself is extremely beneficial for both parties, especially when it comes to the manufacturing sector," said Ante Musa, director of FEAL.
"This type of cooperation is the only right way if we want to create high-quality and professional staff who will be able to put theoretical knowledge into practice," said the dean. The meeting concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement that envisages joint work on professional projects but also provides numerous benefits for students.
